IN A NUTSHELL

As Data Migration Engineer - Investment Finance, you will be responsible for the critical part of every onboarding: the clean transfer of data from the legacy system to our portfolio management platform, as well as the setup of daily data feeds. Only with correct and complete data can the system deliver reliable results – they are the foundation for every portfolio management and financial decision of our demanding customers.

With your unique combination of financial knowledge and technical expertise, you play a major role in successfully migrating large client portfolios onto the QPLIX platform and thus shape the future of wealth management.

YOUR TASKS

• End-to-End Data Migration: Take full technical responsibility for complex migrations - client master data, position and transaction data, as well as the investment universe.
• Data Quality: Responsible for validation, plausibility checks, and quality assurance of the migrated data, including coordination with source systems.
• Interfaces to Custodian Banks and Data Providers: Build and maintain data connections to custodian banks and data providers - the daily feeds, without which portfolios cannot be managed.
• Automate subtasks of data migration.
• Optimize processes for better scalability of migration projects.
• Detailed analysis of complex datasets (exports from legacy systems) for transfer to the target system.
• Advise project teams on challenges in data transfer.
• Act as an interface between consultants, development department, and clients.

YOUR PROFILE

• Successfully completed studies in (business) informatics, financial mathematics (or comparable qualification).
• Several years of experience in the analysis, preparation, and transfer of large amounts of data, ideally in the financial industry.
• Solid understanding of common liquid asset classes (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.) and the associated financial transactions, including corporate actions.
• Very good knowledge of Python as well as solid SQL knowledge (relational databases); experience with document-oriented databases (e.g., MongoDB) and other languages is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of thinking.
• Very good organizational skills, quick comprehension, and independent working style.
• Careful handling of sensitive customer data.
• Negotiation skills in German and English (C1), additional local languages are a plus.
