Intern in Situation and Information Center with focus on Data Science (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an intern in the Situation and Information Center focusing on Data Science (m/f/d).

• Maintain and further develop data pipelines (from collection to visualization)
• Develop datasets and models for interactive reports and dashboards, up to comprehensive Decision Support Systems (DSS)
• Display time series, trends, and possible developments, including evaluation and analysis of theme- and event-based data
• Participate in planning groups and contribute your expertise
• Optimize our data ecosystem (architecture, performance & usability) and document the seamless handover of operations
• Study related to data preparation and evaluation and/or simulations (e.g., Information Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Engineering with a focus on data analysis, etc.) or other training with a strong interest in working in security or police activities combined with a pronounced technical understanding
• Ideally, knowledge of workflow software, pipeline and analysis tools, and proficient use of Linux, Docker, and Git

• Insights into police information gathering, situation tracking, risk and situation assessments, and police staff work
• Experience collection in the context of the Swiss security network
