Deputy Head of Data Platforms (80% - 100%)
On behalf of our client, a leading international private bank, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced Deputy Head of Data Platforms to join their Digital Business Transformation function on an initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
Job description:
- Provide interim deputy leadership for the Data & Solution Enablement function, ensuring operational continuity and effective team guidance.
- Act as business owner and strategic representative for the enterprise data platform.
- Further develop the platform strategy, stakeholder engagement model, and value proposition for business users.
- Drive execution of strategic initiatives and transformation activities, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives.
- Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen data adoption and value realization.
- Contribute to the organisation's AI agenda, including use case assessment, rollout preparation, and governance activities.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges, implementing appropriate mitigation actions.
- Prepare executive-level communications, presentations, and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
About the customer:
This is a senior leadership assignment requiring a highly experienced professional with a strong background in wealth management, enterprise data platforms, and large-scale transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will provide interim leadership, ensure operational continuity, and drive strategic initiatives across data, analytics, and AI-related programmes.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- 10-15+ years of experience within financial services, including leadership positions in transformation environments.
- Strong knowledge of wealth management and private banking.
- Deep expertise in enterprise data platforms, data management, governance, and analytics.
- Proven track record leading complex transformation programmes and cross-functional teams.
- Strong programme and project management capabilities with a focus on delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to identify and address risks proactively.
- Previous management consulting experience would be considered a strong advantage.
