Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated LLM Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and researchers to develop, implement, and optimize cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) and large language model solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world projects and contribute directly to the company’s ongoing innovation in the AI domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Text Data Analysis & Preprocessing Collect, clean, and organize textual datasets using Python-based data analytics tools.
- Model Development & Testing Assist in the testing, fine-tuning & evaluation of LLM models. Some of the use-cases assessed, relevant for the insurance sector, will be text generation, summarization, information extraction, semantic search, and other core NLP tasks relevant to large language models.
- Software Engineering Best Practices Contribute to project codebases using version control (Git), participate in code reviews, and follow software development best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Collaboration & Communication Work in an agile environment alongside senior engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams. Communicate findings and technical challenges effectively in English. (Knowledge of French is a plus.)
- Research & Documentation Stay updated on the latest trends in large language models, natural language processing, and machine learning. Document your work for internal knowledge sharing, including best practices, research findings, and prototype implementations.
Qualifications
Educational Background
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework in machine learning and NLP.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Scikit-learn.
- Understanding of fundamental ML & NLP concepts.
- Basic understanding of version control (Git), modular coding practices, and testing frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience working on NLP or LLM projects.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow is advantageous.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. (French proficiency is a plus.)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
